Owner • Consultant • RRO

Jerry Brown started as a roofing system installer in 1971 and progressed to a residential/commercial/industrial roofing contractor for twenty years before establishing WRECORP in 2001.  He currently has over 100 hours of educational credits specifically in roofing industry courses. He has achieved certification as a Registered Roof Observer (RRO) from RCI and Certified Specialist and Certified Installer from TRI and accreditations from SPI/SPFA, BPU, BURSI, RIEI, and the Masterpec Academy.

Personnel

Michael Apostolos, AIA: A Registered Architect currently licensed in Arizona and Colorado with over thirty (30) years experience in the architecture and construction professions responsible for technical assistance, field experience, project management, building and system assessements, building and roof systems. Michael also has experience in building design, including new school design and construction, building roof replacements and building assessments on many of the Arizona school districts.

Michelle Brown: Has over seven (7) years experience in the roofing and roof consulting industry and as a roofing applicator, in field roof assessments and consulting. Michelle also has experience in providing roofing system CAD drawings, as a roof system data base specialist and is also WRECORP's Office Manager. Accreditations have been achieved from: TRI (Tile Roof Institute) Certified Specialist & Certified Installer, SPFA (Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance) 101 & 101R Certifications / Industry Courses Attended: BPU (Building Products University), Roofing Design Conference, 30+ Hours of Continuing Educational Credits from RCI (Roofing Consultants Institute).

Julie Hill: Has over four (4) years experience in the roof consulting industry as a roof system data base specialist, in field roof assessments/consulting and in providing roofing system CAD drawings. Julie is also WRECORP's Marketing Director/Representative and provides office support.

Keeping Abreast

 In today’s economic climate, WRECORP is acutely aware of the importance of maintaining  an awareness of industry advancements in materials, materials’ compatibilities, improvements in applications and methods, and the economic benefits those newer materials and methods bring to clients.  As a roofing designer and specifier to owners, architects, engineers, schools, municipalities, and others, WRECORP has a fundamental obligation to offer the latest, most technologically advanced products available to its clients, thus permitting them to make sound investment management decisions.  WRECORP achieves this awareness by active participation in organizations such as ARCA, RCI, CSI, SPFA, AASBO, and ACRC.

Another valuable source of “keeping abreast” is that found in the interaction of our clients and us.  We realize that all of our clients, regardless if they are architects, engineers, property managers, schools, governments, facility managers or insurance agents, have tremendous areas of responsibilities where roofing is a fraction of the whole.  They have a sound basic understanding of roofing systems that allows them to ask pertinent questions to clarify theory, specification, design, schedule, budget, warranty, dissatisfied tenant, or PM program issues, with real-life solution input.  Conversely, it is equally educational for us because this diversity of interaction increases our appreciation of how our focus needs to be broadened to arrive at solutions with newer tools and fresher thinking.  
  
To be able to “keep abreast” one must not be tethered to established methods and materials, nor think that there is only one-way of thinking.  At WRECORP, we realize that as the industry, owners and thinking evolve, materials, design criteria and codes must evolve as well.  We owe it to our clients to present to them the best of that evolution for their consideration.  If we do not, then we have failed in our mission.
